Vendor Managed Inventory, Just-in-Time Distribution (JITD), and Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) all refer to similar concepts, but applied to different industries. For example, the grocery and apparel industries tend to use ECR, whereas the automobile industry tends to use VMI and JITD.
上面这段话不知大家看过没有,是前面帖子中附件的内容。看了上面的发言,感觉大家对一些概念存在不同的理解,不知道哪位高人系统、全面地研究过它们之间的区别与联系,能否共享一下,谢谢!
I'd like to clarify my point:
1.The customer that initiate VMI must be very strong and powerful!Otherwise, who care about you!!Who will prepare stock for you, the risk is definitely at supplier's side!No one want to lose money becuase of this! There must be some carrot in front !That's the purchasing q'ty!
2.The customer must shoulder some responsibility! This kind of risk share varies with different customers, different suppliers! But we can learn something from the PC giant like Dell,HP!Currently, Delll maybe is the most successfully! Such kind of negotiation is very skillful!
