2 安装一台 solaris x86 , 英文版。 考试没有中文。

3  对应的SA-XXX系列手册细细读一遍。这是最好的资料。原来的Smell论坛上有。

   对应的命令一一敲一遍。
  
   靠得很细致，有填空题。就是你的上课老师也不一定记得住。

4  SCSA I 会考很高分，但别一高兴，SCSAII 白交钱了。
    II 比I 应花更多时间。

但参加培训或网上经常有便宜的。不计名字，只看数字密码。

3 靠完后按VOUCHER到网上注册。更改个人信息。

能不能对我们这些新手先share resources，再discuss questions，我的8快下完了，但手上只有238，如果有118和288就更好了。还有一肚子问题？

rocox, I am new to solaris too, not sure what exactly are the materials we needed for the tests.  First of all, can we take 238 directly? or we have to take 118 first?

training material is enough to pass exam.
exam is not very difficult if you know your stuff.
3 kinds of questions:
1) multiple choice
2) multiple multiple choice
3) fill-in blank.

1) is easy
2) is most difficult.  especially, difficult when you don't know how many you suppose to pick.  in oracle exams, for example, at least you know how many to pick.
3) this you either know, or you don't.  always one word command, no options.  e.g., prtvtoc.

one thing you have to remember, this is a solaris exam, not a general unix exam.  so you have to think hard about what makes solaris different from other unix flavors, mostly command-wise.

Eu118 is the basic knowledge about the Unix. There is not Eu118 test in your solaris certification but a lot of questions come from the Eu118, for example ls - ...

Sun is offering a new upgrade exam with the release of certification for the Solaris[tm] 8 Operating Environment. This exam is for candidates who have already successfully completed the Sun Certified System Administrator, both Part I and Part II examinations, of a previous version of Solaris Operating Environment (2.5, 2.6, 7). Candidates who are not previously certified may NOT take the upgrade exam.

THIS EXAM WILL BE OFFERED FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY! Candidates may take the upgrade exam through January 31, 2002. No upgrade exams will be offered after that time.
