中文版本的翻译好多是台湾人搞的。认证考试的时候，如果选择了中文版本的话，有的苦了！

虽然有误，但总比不去读好啊

更何况读了中文再来读英文也比一开始就读英文好一点

不能否定的是，中文有中文的好处。它使你迅速建立起概念。
如果让我选择，我会先读中文的。

翻译一遍实际上是一个理解在反映出来的过程，如果是高手翻译的，当然好。
如果生搬硬造，肯定不如原文。

中文资料要看它的翻译质量。我看SYBASE的中文原版资料，发现很多都讲不清楚，语句不通。

不要动不动就叫人看英文文档
真要看得懂

我觉得这里应该面向国内大多数对英文不太敏感得同仁

Back to my original question. Can anybody tell me what those error descriptions translate "latch" into? Actually, all I'd like to have is a Chinese - English translation of keywords, or a Chinese version of glossary or Master Index.

Indeed reading English documentation is better unless your English is so difficult to you that you spend more time on the language than on the technical aspect of it. But knowing Chinese translation of keywords is helpful when laymen ask you a question.
