All databases has the same ancestor, Dr. Cobb. He laid foundation for relational databases. I think it does not matter which database you are using , the only thing that matters is to be really good at one database. In this slide comparison there is no conclusion as which database is better. If DB2 has new features, Oracle will catch up., and vice versa., there fore the author is very careful about that.
