If you are using 9i, you are kind of behind, better think of upgrade to 10g.

Regardless how the company think about it, for you, as a DBA or developer, you should seriously think about upgrade the system to 10g to increase your market value.

I have been running 2.8TB high transaction OLTP database on 7 nodes 10g RAC for almost three years, it is excellent.

There are many new features on 10g, you will love it.

新系统用新版本也没什么不妥，一起测试就是了。
旧系统一般都不会去升级的，除非有什么功能必须要用。
