Job Description
You will work on every aspect of technical development, from requirement analysis, design, development, testing through to deployment and the management of the production environment.
Knowledge of latest web technologies is required, as is a genuine interest and passion for the web.
You will be maintaining different versions of the code. Due to the nature of the project, you will work in an environment requiring small and frequent functional releases.
Outline of Responsibilities
· Handle change requests and provide quick and efficient solutions
· Analyze business requirements and transform them into technical design
· Implement the design to develop and test the functional requirements
· Source code maintenance
· Continuously monitor website and database performance
· Proactively provide ideas and solutions towards the improvement of the site and the business.
· Interact with business development and marketing team to understand the business requirements
· Provide effort estimates and priorities tasks
· Provide timely functional releases so as to meet fast changing business requirements
· Assess risk and impact on the existing system that may arise due to any requirement or functional change
Skills and Competencies
· You should have experience with .NET Framework 1.1 and higher
· Strong understanding and hands on experience of C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET using Visual Studio.NET 2003/2005
· Experience with maintaining SQL Server 2000/2005 objects and handling performance issues
· Experience in handling large data volumes is essential.
· Knowledge of WebPart, XML, XHTML, XMLHTTP would be an added advantage
· Experience with Dashboard and Scorecard application is plus
· Good communication skills in all forms including written, oral and presentation
· Good problem solving skills and creative ability
· Must have the ability to work in a team and be happy to collaborate and code pair
· Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
· Good organizational and time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
· Able to “pick up and run” with projects and easily switch between different tasks as required.
