请问:哪位有oralce form和8i(nt)安装到同一台机器的文档?
用8i (personal editon for win98)和form能安装到一起来练习开发吗?

form和8I要安装到同一台机器，可以先安装DEVELOPE 6I，然后ORACLE 8I
因为DEVELOPE的版本比较低，高版本向下兼容。

I installed both in my win98 laptop and win2000 pc at home.

there is no first install, second install.

because oracle 8i use Java interface installer, and form 6i is still use old installer, these two guys CAN NEVER MIX UP TOGETHER.

The correct way (or my way) is to install one first, and when install another one, choose the different oracle home, such as : c:\ora816 for Oracle 8i, c:\program files\orawin95 for Forms.

when you want to run forms and oracle, first start oracle. and sql*net listener, then start forms, connect to the oracle by using connection string. remember to add sql*net entry to your forms' tnsnames.ora for your oracle server.
