这个是我们系统里面的介绍,不过看不懂.其中AWM是我们系统的一个模块
The interleave picking and putaway option in “Maintain
Warehouses” provides a mechanism for the user to interleave the
picking process with putaways when radio frequency (RF)
terminals are employed by warehouse personnel. AWM
optimizes picking and shipping operations which results in
maximum warehouse productivity and throughput. Therefore,
the interleave picking and putaway option is designed to add
value to this optimization effort.
Once the pick is confirmed, the interleave picking and putaway
program evaluates the next pick with the same control number.
If it is a pallet pick, the program searches for pending pallet
putaways in the same aisle as the next pick. If a pending pallet
putaway is found for an aisle, the program presents the RF
Putaway Confirmation screen, which allows for only one
pending putaway record (that is, the control number, aisle, bay,
level, and putaway sequence number fields).
AWM is designed for exceptional inventory accuracy without
sacrificing productivity. It accomplishes this by requiring proof
that a product was in transit and proof that it arrived correctly.
Putaway can be radio frequency or paper controlled. Interleaved
picking and putaway allows users performing RF picking to be
informed of a pending putaway in that aisle of the next pick
assignment, reducing “deadheading.”
If AWM informs the user or operator who is performing RF
picking activities of a potential putaway that could be made in
the aisle of his next picking assignment. The user can “ignore”
the recommendation or he can choose to perform the putaway.
In the first conclusion, the operator returns to the directed
picking operations. In the second conclusion, the operator
remains in the RF putaway process for this singular putaway
transaction and returns to the next sequential picking assignment
when the putaway is finalized.
Both of these examples are conditional to the pallet movement
activities only because case or piece movements can never be
operationally supported.
