How can I implement SOA architecture?

I think it is mainly used by ESB, WebService and JMS. ESB integrate all kinds of services such as webservice or JMS. Maybe it is difficult to convert xml schema to the same. But in all, It is not difficult to practise. When people talk about SOA ,why are their articles too abstract to understand and many concept is thrown out.

My understand is that integration between services is used by ESB.
