yes, you can do that.  but the installtion processing will be very slow, and sometimes, I mean sometimes you will get some strange errors.

hi, boss, can you tell me the web which has oracle 8i for solaris is release 3? or 2? or 1? thanks, i really need really need release 3 for solaris intel. i should buy sparc machine, there are so many software for it, include release  3.

you are right, installation is very, very slow for 64MB memory, and there are so many error message,  i tried thousand times installation of oracle 8i on linux and solaris intel. all failed. it does not much time to install on 128 MB memory. about 1.5 hrs. DO NOT install oracle 8i on memory below 128MB, it is minimum requiement.

i am interested in your idea, how to install 8i seperately when the memory is 64MB? if possible, please give me direction. i really want to install 8i in my 64 MB computer, not 128MB one. thanks
