懂手机游戏设计的同志们能进来一下吗?
我有个艺术学院的朋友学绘画的
根本对计算机一点研究都没有
最近忽然有了一个手机游戏的idea
她想去参加游戏设计的一个比赛
但是比赛说是光有idea还不行,必须得有一个游戏的模型
我是她唯一认识的跟计算机有点关系的人
所以来找我
可是我之前也根本没有接触过这些
有没有懂这方面的朋友指教一下呢?
即使是要她学,我也得先帮她弄明白知道应该先学什么去那里学该看些什么书啊?
这个比赛是截止今年7月底
因为她是学生也没钱不可能给大家“意思”一下
只希望有好心人在她学习的过程中能指点一下

有想法的mm已经报了个别的大学的part-time的游戏设计班读去了
但是估计在比赛的deadline之前那课程还不会讲到编程的地方
她天天逼我,我就天天上来催大家了,呵呵

i'm not very clear the detail about game programming on cellphone, but the basic requirement for PC games design is that
1) at least know one language inside to outside (like C++, C#, Java, C ...)
2) have some resources about 3D model (if it is 3d game) and textures
3) know at least one API inside to outside (like OpenGL or Direct3D, or some companies has their own low-level API)
4) have good expeirence on the IDE that you are going to use, especially the debugger and profiler (for performance benchmarking purpose)
However, there are difference between PC game development and Console game development (like PS2 or XBox 360)
In Console game industry, the hardware are all the same (2 PS2 boxes will have exactly the same hardware). That means, if the game run smoothly in your testing enviornment, usually it will be okay to run in customer enviornment. However, the limited memory size are the main bottleneck for consoles.
In my opinion, the game development for cellphone has the similar idea. Since you will have some general idea what your targeting market looks like, you will be able to know how complicate the game should be (does it support 3d rendering or 2d draw only, and how many frame rate should I get by using this algorithm on this type of hardware). Usually you don't need to care too much about the hardware implementation since Java does all for you. But you still need to have some knowledge about the CPU computation power, size of memory, size of screen and etc... in order to know what complexity the hardware can maximumly supported and which data structure/algorithms you can use in such envionrment.
All mentioned above are only from technical perspective you also need to know your audience and player, know exactly what they want from your game (speed? bloody? humor? relax?...). And marketing is another important perspective (in some times it maybe more important than technique itself)...
